Beast of Reincarnation Acid Bolts Location, Uses, and Upgrades

Acid Bolts are one of the better early crossbow upgrades you can find in Beast of Reincarnation, applying a Corrosion effect that eats through enemy armor over time. The catch: they're not sitting in any vendor's stock. The recipe and starting ammo are locked inside a shed at the top of the Quarry in the Ogouchi Buffer Zone, and a Lv. 11 Heavy Golem is standing between you and them. This guide covers exactly how to reach the shed, take down the golem, and walk away with both the bolts and the permanent crafting manual.

Where are Acid Bolts located in Beast of Reincarnation?

The Acid Bolts are found in the upper section of the Quarry, accessible from the Quarry Interior campfire in the Ogouchi Buffer Zone. The shed holding them sits directly behind the Lv. 11 Heavy Golem's spawn point on the elevated platform. You can't reach this area by wandering around the base of the quarry or the lower railway tracks. The route runs through the elevator south of the train tracks at Quarry Interior.

The shed's interactables are locked until the Lv. 11 Heavy Golem is defeated. Don't try to skip the fight and grab loot. The game won't let you.

How to get Acid Bolts

Step 1: Reach Quarry Interior

Advance through the Ogouchi Buffer Zone until you unlock and rest at the Quarry Interior campfire. This is your staging point for the entire run. If you haven't reached it yet, push through the zone's main path until the campfire triggers.

Step 2: Ride the elevator to the upper platform

From the campfire, head toward the railway tracks and find the elevator south of them. Ride it up to the elevated upper tier of the Quarry. The lower quarry paths don't lead to the shed, so don't waste time searching down there.

Step 3: Defeat the Lv. 11 Heavy Golem

Step out onto the upper platform and you'll find the Lv. 11 Heavy Golem waiting. This is a proper fight, not a patrol you can sneak around. Use melee strikes, weapon skills, and well-timed dodges to bring it down. If it's hitting too hard at your current level, ranged kiting with standard bolts from cover is a viable way to whittle down its health before closing in.

tip
Collect the materials the golem drops before entering the shed. You'll want every resource you can get for the upgrades ahead.

Step 4: Loot the shed

Once the golem is down, walk directly behind its spawn point into the small metal shed. Two separate pickups are inside:

  • Iron Box on the floor: interact with it to collect the starter Acid Bolts
  • Purple glowing book on the table: interact with it separately to collect Manual: Acid Bolts

Players miss the manual constantly because they grab the Iron Box and leave. Both items are required. The Iron Box gives you an initial supply of bolts. The manual is what teaches you to synthesize more at camp.

How to enhance Acid Bolts after picking them up

Once you're back at the Quarry Interior campfire, open the camp menu and select Enhance Equipment, then navigate to Projectile Enhancement. Choose Acid Bolts and spend Amber to raise their Corrosion Buildup and increase your bolt capacity. Higher Corrosion Buildup means the damage-over-time effect stacks faster against armored targets, which is exactly the situation you'll keep running into in the Ogouchi Buffer Zone.

If you're low on Amber, clearing minor objectives and nodes in the lower quarry before heading back to camp is the fastest way to top up. For more ways to build your Amber reserves, the Beast of Reincarnation best ways to earn more Amber guide covers every reliable source including some quick tricks worth knowing.

warning
Don't skip the Projectile Enhancement step. Acid Bolts at base level still apply Corrosion, but investing Amber early makes a noticeable difference against elite enemies in the area.

What do Acid Bolts actually do in combat?

Fired from your crossbow, Acid Bolts apply a Corrosion effect on hit. This deals continuous damage over time and degrades enemy armor, making subsequent hits more effective. Against the heavily armored mechanical enemies common in the industrial zones, this is significantly more useful than standard bolts. The damage keeps ticking even after you switch back to melee, so the rotation of bolt shot into melee combo is genuinely efficient.

Is the Lv. 11 Heavy Golem the only enemy blocking the shed?

Yes. Standard quarry enemies roaming the area don't gate the shed. Only the Lv. 11 Heavy Golem on the upper platform needs to be cleared before the shed becomes accessible.
