The exact refill count can vary slightly between runs, with some players seeing 5 and others reporting a cap closer to 7, but the behavior that matters is consistent across all versions: rest, refill, repeat.
The bow itself comes from The Foreman story mission, so the manual is most useful once that quest is complete. You can plan the pickup route early, but the arrows won't see real use until bow combat is unlocked.
How to get replenishing Fire Arrows in Beast of Reincarnation
The full route runs from Zhenze Pavilion to a waterfall area near Ziliu Village. There are 11 steps, but the logic is straightforward once you know where the path bends.
Step 1: Head to Zhenze Pavilion
Open your map and travel to the tower marked as Zhenze Pavilion. This is your starting point for the entire route.
Step 2: Climb to the upper tower area
Ascend to the elevated section of the tower, the same platform where the Mech Blade pickup is located. You need to reach the altar at the top.
Step 3: Talk to the Keeper Golem
Under the altar, you'll find a seated Keeper Golem. Interact with it and choose the dialogue option "How can I defeat the Nushi?" This is the trigger that adds the Manual: Fire Arrows objective to your map.
Step 4: Follow the waterfall route toward Ziliu Village
Set your destination toward the waterfall area near Ziliu Village. The path curves upward and around the cliffs rather than dropping straight south toward the lake. That distinction matters, because heading down toward the lake puts you on the wrong side entirely.

The switchbacks here can disorient players on the first run. If the route stops making sense, keep the quest tracked and follow the blue wind visual guide. It points you around and upward toward the structure, not downward.
Step 6: Fight through the guards at the cave entrance
Enemies patrol the waterfall cave entrance and the approach to the structure. Clear them out before pushing to the doors. If you're running low on healing before reaching the structure, ranged attacks from a distance can thin the patrol numbers without committing to a full melee engagement.
Step 7: Enter the guarded structure
Push through the metal doors and step inside. Both items you need are in the same room.
Step 8: Pick up the Fire Arrows from the floor
Grab the Fire Arrows lying on the floor. These are the physical ammo stack.

After collecting both items, equip your bow and spend your Fire Arrows. Then rest at a nearby campfire, Cliffside Village: Outskirts works well for this. Open your arrow inventory after resting. If the Fire Arrows are back, Manual: Fire Arrows is active and the refill cycle is running.
If the arrows didn't refill, check two things: confirm the manual (not just the arrows) is in your inventory, and make sure you actually completed a full campfire rest rather than just passing near one.
What mistakes block the Fire Arrows manual?
Three errors come up repeatedly:
- Leaving Zhenze Pavilion without talking to the Keeper Golem. Without that dialogue and the specific "How can I defeat the Nushi?" selection, the objective never appears and you lose the route marker entirely.
- Taking the floor arrows but skipping the table manual. The floor pickup and the manual are not the same item. Both are required.
- Heading south toward the lake instead of up around the cliffs. The waterfall route goes upward. The lake route is a dead end for this objective.
