New FF7 Rebirth official art to ...

Square Enix just dropped one of the better RPG sales of the year. The entire Final Fantasy franchise is on sale on Steam right now, and the discounts are deep enough to make even the most patient backlog-avoiders reach for their wallets.

The sale runs through June 25, covering nearly every mainline entry in the series plus several spin-offs and DLC packs. Here's the lowdown: this is not a token 10%-off situation. These are real cuts.

The FF7 remake saga is the headline deal

Final Fantasy VII fans have the most to gain here. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is down to $13 (from $40), and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth drops to $20 (from $50). That's both games in the remake trilogy for under $35 combined, which is a genuinely absurd price point for the amount of content you're getting. The third and final entry in the trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, is expected to arrive on PC and consoles sometime next year, so there's still time to get caught up.

Crisis Core: Reunion, the prequel spin-off that fills in a lot of the backstory around Zack Fair, is also part of the sale at $18 (down from its oddly steep regular price of $50). If you're planning to go deep on the remake saga, that one is worth picking up alongside the main entries.

tip
Most of these titles run well on Steam Deck, so this sale is worth a look even if your gaming PC isn't your primary setup.

What else is on the table

The sale goes well beyond the FF7 entries. Final Fantasy XVI is $20, the FF13 trilogy is available individually at $7-8 each, and last year's well-received Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles remaster is $35. The Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster sits at $12, and if you want to go all the way back to the classics, the Final Fantasy I-VI Bundle is $45 (down from $75).

For the adventurous, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origins is $16. That one is not for everyone, but at that price the chaos-fueled action RPG is worth a look if you've been curious.

Getting the most out of this window

The sale closes on June 25, which gives you just under two weeks to decide. The Remake Intergrade and Rebirth pairing is the obvious headline grab, but the FF13 trilogy at under $25 for all three games and the Tactics remaster are the quiet value picks here.

For players new to the series who want to understand what the FF7 remake trilogy is building toward, the Final Fantasy VII guides are a solid place to start before you jump in. And if you're looking to branch out into other adventure games on your backlog, the broader sale has you covered across multiple eras of the franchise.
