GeForce NOW Adds 7 New Games Including Aphelion and Super Meat Boy 3D

NVIDIA's GeForce NOW picks up seven more games this week, headlined by DON'T NOD's Aphelion and Super Meat Boy 3D, plus a summer sale worth paying attention to.

Blackwell RTX Comes to GeForce NOW ...

Cloud gaming rarely gets headlines unless something actually changes the math for players sitting on aging hardware. This week's GeForce NOW update does a bit of both: a solid batch of newly supported games and a summer sale that makes the subscription genuinely hard to dismiss.

The seven games joining GeForce NOW this week

NVIDIA has confirmed seven titles now supported on the cloud streaming service, though one of those is technically a demo rather than a full release. Here's the complete list:

  • Aphelion (Steam) - DON'T NOD's sci-fi survival horror, drawing comparisons to Alien: Isolation
  • Super Meat Boy 3D (Xbox, available on Game Pass) - Team Meat's jump into the third dimension
  • Citizen Sleeper (Epic Games Store, free from June 18-25)
  • Embers of the Uncrowned Demo (Steam) - Nexon's isometric dark fantasy; full release date still TBD
  • Pro Cycling Manager 26 (Steam, released June 15)
  • Megastore Simulator (Steam)
  • OPERATOR (Steam)

The standouts here are pretty clear. Aphelion is one of the more interesting releases from DON'T NOD in recent memory, and Super Meat Boy 3D has been on a lot of wishlists since Team Meat first announced the project.

Citizen Sleeper timing is worth noting

Here's the thing about Citizen Sleeper landing on this list right now: it was recently pulled from Xbox Game Pass, which left a chunk of players without an obvious way to continue or start it. The game being free on the Epic Games Store from June 18 through June 25, and now streamable through GeForce NOW, fills that gap pretty neatly.

If you've been meaning to play it and kept putting it off, this week is the window. The EGS free window closes on June 25, so adding it to your library before then costs nothing and locks it in permanently.

tip
Citizen Sleeper is free to claim on the Epic Games Store from June 18 to June 25. Once added to your library, it's yours to keep regardless of when you play it.

The summer sale changes the subscription math

Beyond the new games, NVIDIA is running a summer sale that cuts a meaningful amount off annual memberships. The 12-month Performance tier drops by $35, and the 12-month Ultimate tier drops by $70. That's not a rounding error.

The Ultimate tier runs on GeForce RTX 5080-class hardware in the cloud, supporting up to 5K resolution, up to 120 frames per second, NVIDIA DLSS, ray tracing, and NVIDIA Reflex. For anyone who hasn't upgraded their PC in a few years and isn't planning to spend on new hardware at current prices, that's a real alternative worth considering.

The Performance tier still delivers solid cloud gaming across devices for players who don't need the top-end specs.

Games like War Thunder, which just received its Ninth Wave update with new vehicles and overhauled water effects, are exactly the kind of visually demanding titles that benefit from streaming at higher fidelity than your local hardware can manage. Similarly, live-service games with ongoing events, like the Warframe 13-year anniversary rewards currently running, are natural fits for cloud play when you want to jump in across devices without worrying about installs.

The summer sale discount stacks well against the backdrop of PC hardware costs staying stubbornly high. If the price was the main reason you hadn't committed to a subscription, that objection just got smaller. Check out more gaming guides to get the most out of whatever platform you're playing on.
