Nintendo Switch 2 Hits $399 at Woot Before September Price Hike

Woot is selling the Nintendo Switch 2 for as low as $399 for new customers, a full $100 below the confirmed September price of $499.99.

The cheapest way to buy a Nintendo Switch 2 right now is sitting at Woot, and the window to grab it is short. New customers to the retailer can pick up the console for just $399, which is $100 below the confirmed September price of $499.99. That gap is not a rounding error.

How the $399 price actually works

The deal runs through a two-step discount. Using the promo code GIFT26 at checkout knocks $22 off the standard listing price, bringing the total to $427. First-time Woot customers get an additional discount on top of that, which is what pushes the final price down to $399. If you've never placed an order with Woot before, that stacks cleanly.

The offer is capped at one unit per customer and runs until 11:58 PM CT on July 25, or until stock runs out. Given how demand for the Switch 2 has held up since its June 2025 launch, stock running out before the deadline is the more likely outcome.

important
The $399 price only applies to first-time Woot customers. Returning customers using the GIFT26 code will pay $427, which is still a solid discount off the incoming $499.99 price.

The refurb option if the new unit sells out

If the new console deal goes out of stock, Woot is also listing a certified refurbished Nintendo Switch 2 bundled with Mario Kart World for $439. The console is graded Grade A, meaning it passed a full diagnostic check and carries minimal cosmetic wear. It comes with original accessories, the retail box, and a 90-day warranty.

The Mario Kart World game code included in the bundle is either unused from the original customer or a freshly added replacement. Either way, you're getting a full game with the purchase. Compared to buying the console and Mario Kart World separately at current prices, the bundle saves around $30.

Woot is an Amazon-owned retailer, which means Amazon Prime members get free shipping on eligible orders. That takes a bit more friction out of the deal.

Why September changes the math

Nintendo officially confirmed the Switch 2 price increase earlier this month, citing changes in market conditions. Starting September 1, the standalone console moves from $449.99 to $499.99. That is a $50 increase on the standard retail price, and a $100 gap compared to what Woot's new-customer deal offers right now.

The question of whether Black Friday will close that gap is worth thinking through. Nintendo did offer a $50 discount on the Mario Kart World bundle during last year's Black Friday. If the same pattern holds, any November deal would likely bring the console back to roughly today's pricing, not below it. Saving $100 now is a better outcome than saving $50 in November.

The Switch 2 library has filled out considerably since launch. Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, Kirby Air Riders, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment are already on shelves. The recently released Star Fox remake and the upcoming Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave add more reasons to buy in sooner rather than later. Third-party ports like Cyberpunk 2077 and Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade have also landed on the hardware with impressive results.

What to do before July 25

The deal expires July 25 at 11:58 PM CT. If you're a first-time Woot customer, the $399 price is the strongest Switch 2 deal currently available anywhere. If you're a returning customer, the GIFT26 code still gets you to $427 on a new unit, or you can take the refurb bundle at $439 with a game included.

For anyone building out a Switch 2 library alongside the purchase, there are physical releases worth tracking too. Our Unrailed 2 physical release guide covers what's in each edition if you're planning ahead. The September price hike is confirmed, so the next six weeks are the last window to buy at pre-hike pricing.
