Ambrus Studio Raises and Reveals Telegram Game

Ambrus Studio, a web3 gaming studio, has closed a multi-million dollar Series A funding round led by Spartan Group. The round includes backing from IVC, SUI Foundation, Knight Capital, Goodwater Capital, and ZeePrime Capital. The capital will support the studio's work integrating blockchain technology into games. Alongside the funding announcement, Ambrus has launched E4C: Demon Hunter, its first Telegram game.

About Ambrus Studio

Johnson Yeh, former CEO of Riot Games Asia-Pacific, founded Ambrus Studio in December 2021. The studio works to connect traditional gamers with blockchain-based web3 gaming, making the technology more approachable for mainstream players.

Ambrus uses its E4C platform to develop blockchain games for players in South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa — regions that often receive less attention from major studios. Yeh has stated the studio isn't chasing the "play-to-earn" trend that defined much of web3 gaming over the past few years.

The focus is on using blockchain to improve gameplay and address practical problems in the industry. Yeh's goal is to make free-to-play games financially sustainable for studios in emerging markets without sacrificing what makes games fun.

E4C: Demon Hunter on Telegram

E4C: Demon Hunter is the first release on the E4C platform. It's a top-down action shooter starring Sehk, a mercenary from E4C: Final Salvation. Players control Sehk as he hunts demons and monsters using a crossbow, dodging enemy attacks and timing counterattacks.

Demon Hunter stands apart from most Telegram-based games by emphasizing skill over passive tapping. Many Telegram games rely on "tap-to-earn" mechanics, but Demon Hunter requires players to master dodging and use their abilities strategically to increase combat power. A player-vs-player mode is planned for future updates.

How to Earn In-Game Rewards and $E4C Token

Players earn Gold Coins and Bits by inviting friends and watching ads. These currencies upgrade weapons, craft items, and purchase runes to boost combat effectiveness. Combat Power scores track player progress and will eventually determine eligibility for $E4C token airdrops.

Partnerships with Nazara, TapTap, and Rockville Games

Demon Hunter is the first step in a larger plan for the E4C platform. Ambrus intends to expand E4C into a full web3 gaming hub that handles game incubation, publishing, community management, and mission coordination. The platform will introduce blockchain mechanics to new audiences while supporting both players and developers.

Ambrus has partnered with game platforms Nazara, TapTap, and Rockville Games. The studio has also integrated deeply with the Sui ecosystem, positioning itself for continued growth in web3 gaming.

Looking Ahead

The Series A funding round led by Spartan Group gives Ambrus Studio the resources to continue building games that connect traditional and blockchain audiences. The studio's emphasis on emerging markets and gameplay-first design sets it apart in the web3 space.

More games and updates for the E4C platform are expected. Demon Hunter offers players a skill-based web3 game with token rewards tied to performance. Players can try Demon Hunter on Telegram now. More details are available at ambrus.studio or by joining the game directly: Demon Hunter on Telegram.
