Pokémon TCG 30th Anniversary

Thirty years of Pokémon cards, and The Pokémon Company is not holding back. The full product lineup for the Pokémon Trading Card Game: 30th Celebration expansion just dropped, and there are 14 separate products to sort through before the first wave hits shelves on September 16. Collectors who have been following Pokémon Pokopia and the broader Pokémon ecosystem already knew this anniversary set was going to be a big deal. Now there's a full product list to prove it.

What the anniversary set actually contains

The set itself is built around 30 different Pikachu cards, each illustrated by a different artist. That roster includes names like Tomokazu Komiya, Atsuko Nishida, Wintr Wondr, and YOSHIROTTEN, among many others. With over 160 collectible cards total, the full artist list runs considerably longer.

Beyond the Pikachu collection, the set features cards for fan favorites including Eevee and its full Eeveelution line, Ditto, Lucario, and Kanto's legendary birds. The two biggest chase cards are almost certainly Mew and Mewtwo, both of which appear in the new Future Rare rarity.

The Future Rare rarity, explained

Here's the thing: the Future Rare cards are the real talking point of this expansion. These cards carry a chrome-like color scheme with a distinct texture and a large RGB Pikachu head printed on the right side of the card. The finish is described as platinum-like, which puts them firmly in the territory of cards that will disappear from store shelves within hours of a restock.

So far, Future Rare treatment has been confirmed for Pikachu and Mewtwo, with a second Pikachu Future Rare revealed alongside today's product announcement.

The Pokémon Company has not confirmed specific price points for any of the 30th Celebration products. Expect pricing to align with equivalent standard TCG product tiers.

All 14 products, broken down

The release is staggered across the rest of 2026, with the bulk of products arriving September 16 and additional drops in October and November.

September 16 launch products:

  • Elite Trainer Box: 9 booster packs, special illustration Nidorina promo card, 65 card sleeves, 16 foil energy cards, dice, coins, and a box with dividers
  • Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box: 11 booster packs, two special illustration cards with a Pokémon Center emblem
  • Tech Sticker Collection: 3 packs, a sticker sheet, promo cards for Alolan Exeggutor and nocturnal Lucario
  • 2-Pack Blister: Two booster packs, a coin, and an Eevee card drawn by Wintr Wondr
  • Knock Out Collection: Two booster packs, a foil card, an Eevee card, and a coin
  • Poster Collection: Three booster packs plus promo cards for Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres
  • Pokémon ex Box (Sylveon & Greninja): Four booster packs with reprints of Sylveon Ex and Greninja Ex

October releases:

  • Booster Bundle: Six booster packs. Arrives October 2
  • Binder Collection: Pikachu-themed 9-pocket binder with five booster packs. October 2
  • Mini Tins: Four collectible tins, each with two booster packs, a sticker sheet, and an art card. October 2

November releases:

  • Battle Deck (Espeon ex & Umbreon ex): A 60-card all-foil deck, deck box, coin, playmat, Eeveelution card, and special illustration cards for Zeraora and Victini. October 30
  • Ditto Premium Collection: Eight booster packs, an acrylic display, and a Ditto special illustration card. November 6
  • Ultra-Premium Collection (Day & Night): 29 booster packs, a Classic Collection booster pack, playmat, card sleeves, deck box, and a Pikachu ex or Espeon ex special illustration card. November 6
  • Figure Collection: Five booster packs, a foil promo card, and a sculpted figure of either Mew or Mewtwo. November 6

What most players miss about the release window

The staggered rollout is worth paying attention to. The September 16 launch covers the widest range of entry-level products, from blister packs to ETBs, which means the most accessible options arrive first. The premium and collector-tier products, including the Ultra-Premium Collection and the Ditto Premium Collection, land in November, giving collectors a few months to budget accordingly.

The Battle Deck featuring Espeon ex and Umbreon ex is particularly interesting for players who want a ready-to-play experience rather than just collecting. A 60-card all-foil deck with a playmat is a solid package for anyone looking to sit down and actually use the cards.

Pre-orders are open now for several products ahead of the September 16 launch. If the recent history of high-profile Pokémon TCG drops is any guide, the Elite Trainer Boxes and anything featuring Future Rare cards will move fast.
