Microsoft's own language when announcing the PC backwards compatibility program never restricted the service to original Xbox titles. The announcement described the goal as making it easier to play "classic XBOX games from the past across PC and handhelds," with no generation cap attached to that phrasing.
The library that could finally come to PC
This is where things get genuinely exciting for players who never got to experience certain 360-era exclusives on PC. A confirmed expansion into Xbox 360 territory would mean potential PC debuts for games that have never left console.
The wishlist writes itself:
