PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for July – Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Rise of the Ronin, Firefighting Simulator: Ignite and more – PlayStation.Blog

The final wave of PS Plus Extra games for July 2026 has arrived, and the headliner is one of last year's most talked-about RPGs.

Sony has added the last four titles to the Extra and Premium catalogs for this month, rounding out what has been a solid July lineup. Subscribers can download all of them right now.

What just landed in the catalog

The standout addition is Citizen Sleeper 2, the follow-up to Jump Over the Age's quietly beloved sci-fi RPG. The original built a devoted following for its dice-based mechanics and genuinely affecting storytelling, and the sequel earned serious praise when it launched in 2025. Getting it on PS Plus Extra this quickly is a win for subscribers who missed it at launch.

The full final batch for July 2026 rounds out a month that already delivered a healthy mix of genres and budgets for Extra and Premium members. If you have been sitting on your backlog, this is a good time to clear some space.

tip
PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers get access to the full catalog as part of their membership tier. Essential subscribers do not receive catalog games, only the monthly free titles.

How this July stacks up against recent months

Here's the thing: Sony has been more consistent with mid-tier catalog additions lately, and July reflects that. The inclusion of an award-winning 2025 RPG in the same month as its final batch drop is a meaningful upgrade from the filler that sometimes pads out catalog waves near month's end.

The catalog now sits at a strong close for July. Subscribers who track these additions monthly will notice that the final batches have trended toward including at least one genuinely notable title rather than pure quantity plays.

For sports game fans already deep in their seasons, there is plenty of companion content worth checking out too. If you are grinding MLB The Show 26, the MLB The Show 26 Now and Later Packs guide breaks down how to maximize your Diamond Dynasty progress. And if NBA 2K26 is more your speed, keep an eye on NBA 2K26 locker codes for free VC and packs.

The bigger PS Plus picture heading into August

With July wrapping up, attention is already shifting to August. The Essential free game for next month has reportedly already been revealed early, which means Sony's subscription roadmap is moving at a faster pace of communication than it has in previous years.

PS Plus Extra and Premium members who want to plan ahead should also note that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 remains in the catalog and just received a free update today adding two new Peter Parker suits (Fresh Start and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls), enhanced PSSR 2.0 support for PS5 Pro, and a Power Saver mode for base consoles. A separate free DLC pack called the Fly N' Fresh Suit Pack is also available on the PS Store and includes suits for both Peter and Miles, plus Photo Mode stickers and frames. It requires a manual download, so you will want to grab it separately.

For everything else dropping across gaming this month, the full gaming guides hub has you covered as the August cycle kicks off.
